President's Message - November 29, 2019

Members and Retirees of USW Local 5328.

The Union committee met with the company yesterday to discuss the vacations for 2020.

They informed us they will be shutting down for Christmas this year 2019. Its unfortunate we didn't know earlier as some would have saved vacation. At least we will be where we should be, with our families. Last day worked on 8 hour shifts is December 20 returning January 2, 2020 if you are on days or afternoons. January 1, 2020  at 11:00 PM, if your on night shift.   12 Hour continuous will work until 7:00 AM December 22 and return January 2, 2020 at 7:00 AM. If you have no vacation, you may qualify for EI.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us. 

 The next Union membership meeting is Thursday December 12 at 6;00 pm  and is also our Christmas social. Hope to see you all there.
