Good evening all. 

 The schedule for the two weeks of shutdown and the week returning after shutdown, week of July 19 are out. The July 19 schedule  may change as there may be people coming back from sick leave. There are a few layoffs upon the return. 

 As most may know, the company did qualify for CEWS for period 4. That payment should have been made last Thursday and will now be paid on the next pay day, July 9. I have demanded a separate deposit and pay statement but I will guess that won’t happen!!

Good evening all. 

 Scheduling seems to be a bit of a mess lately! That has to do with sales and production planning getting signals crossed!! The company does not know what one day to the next brings!  Most of what you see scheduled should be this way till shutdown but don’t hold your breath!!

Good evening all. 

 A lot of changes the last few months! As you see on the schedule, the company is ramping up jobs to have stock to ship during the shutdown as they say business has picked up. 

 The company has indicated business will pick up in the next month or so. For next week, there are 17 recalls.

Good evening all. 

 We have signed the extension to the CEWS program as the voting was 42 to 3 in favour.  The company has submitted to July 4 and awaiting approval from the Federal Government. 

 As far as hours of work, nothing will be changing as of now. To create physical distancing, 12 hour people are allowed the 1/2 hour early relief and for 8 hours,  the company posted early shower times. For wire draw,  frames must be left running.

Good evening all. 

 I had a conference call with myself, Tom, Luc and Nadia today. 

 As far as the $500.00 per week advance, it will be paid Monday but it was processed today. If your bank corporate offices or the department that handles that is open on weekends, you will receive it Saturday or Sunday but I believe none do that.

Good evening all. 

 Revision to the schedule. 

 As far as the CEWS program, here is a bit of an update. 

 The agreement has not been sent back to us yet That may  cause a delay in the first retroactive payment so more than likely it will be May 28 as they are not able to process this quick enough through the government to be able to pay out for next Thursday May 21, but it’s not totally ruled out yet!

Some recalls next week and a few more the following week. 

 Over the last 6 weeks we have been asking the company to apply for the CEWS, Canadian Emergency Wage Subsidy, a Federal Government program. They held off and delayed but they applied for the Quebec plants. Well, finally, they have put us in the mix!!
